Location:  Various locations across Indiana, including Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center, Evansville State Hospital, Logansport State Hospital, Madison State Hospital, Richmond State Hospital, and the Indianapolis Neurodiagnostic Institute.

Hourly Rate:  $85.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• Education: Doctorate of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active licensure through the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and Indiana state requirements; commitment to ongoing CE for licensure maintenance.
• Experience: Experience in hospital or psychiatric settings is a plus (not required).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern optometric diagnostic tools and therapeutic treatments.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to perform precise, repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and ocular health.
• Diagnose conditions (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts, refractive errors) and prescribe corrective lenses or therapeutic treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to address patient needs holistically.
• Maintain confidential, accurate patient records.
• Prescribe medications for eye conditions within optometric scope.
