Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Receiving Inspector to join their team. As a Receiving Inspector, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the inspection of purchased parts and materials. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Receiving Inspector 

Location: East Setauket, NY

Pay Range: $28- $29 per hour
Duration: 3 month (potential of extension)
Shift: 1st Shift 7AM-3:30PM Mon- Fri

What's the Job?

• Perform inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment as they are received from vendors or internal production.
• Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for inspection.
• Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Adapt inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary to meet inspection requirements.
• Summarize and report inspection results accurately in SAP, ERP system, and EFPC system.

What's Needed?

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years related experience in inspection or quality assurance.
• Ability to use CMM and a variety of appropriate measurement gauges effectively.
• Experience with receiving and inspecting both mechanical and electrical parts.
• Familiarity with recording inspection results in relevant systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
