SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is currently seeking personnel for our growing crews in York, PA. Positions include equipment operators and pipe foremen. Successful candidates should possess a willingness to learn, have a good work ethic, and a positive attitude.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR Operate equipment in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures.
Excavate trenches from mainlines such as water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.
Pull trench boxes as necessary.
Ensure company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of construction.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
PIPE FOREMAN Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 5 to 10 individuals.
Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors.
Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete the job.
Complete daily timesheets and maintain daily logs.
REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 3 years of field leadership experience is required for the foreman position.
Possess knowledge of underground utility installation, excavation regulations, and pipeline safety.
Ability to work in a crew-based and fast-paced environment.
Must be punctual and dependable.
Must be comfortable performing a variety of manual tasks for extended periods and sometimes in unfavorable weather conditions.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and movement of the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
