Job Description

This role is responsible for executing visual merchandising strategies across multiple store locations to enhance customer shopping experience and drive sales. This includes overseeing product placement, replenishment, and inventory flow, while ensuring that all displays are visually appealing and consistent with company standards. The role also involves analyzing market trends, collaborating with sales teams, and facilitating new store openings, remodels, and visual enhancements according to the creative directive. This position will be responsible for in-store visual merchandising 4 days per week with 1 remote office day (work from home). Locations will include Connecticut stores in: Milford, Newington, Brookfield, South Windsor and 1 store in Springfield, Massachusetts. May assist in other stores in southern MA as needed. Key responsibilities include implementing in-store visual presentations that align with brand standards, managing merchandise transfers between stores and distribution centers, overseeing clearance and floor inventory levels, executing regular floor moves for furniture and seasonal displays, serving as the primary contact for store merchandising initiatives, ensuring visual displays are maintained in a clean, safe, and attractive condition, collaborating with store teams to maintain high merchandising standards, leading and assisting with new store openings, remodels, visual enhancements, acquisitions and store closings and high impact sales events, and training store teams on recovery plans and best practices for maintaining displays. The Visual Merchandiser strives to enhance customer experience and sales growth by implementing brand-aligned visual presentations for their assigned 5-10 stores (9,000 to 18,000 sq ft each). By fostering communication between store employees, Regional Leads and Market Sales Managers, this role will also manage merchandise transfers and inventory levels necessary to meet established visual standards. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising with 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and up to 30% travel. Preferred requirements include demonstrated ability to self-manage a work schedule and effective time management. Physical demands include various physical activities and lifting up to or over 50 pounds. Weekly hours are 40.
